For those who are a little older than most
Everyone should be comfortable in the water. Adults are no exception and one of the best ways to gain that comfort is to learn to swim. In adult classes we teach you in small groups when the pool is quiet. The instructor will talk with you and together you will decide what skills you want to learn. As an adult, you have a choice in your lessons, and we appreciate your desire to learn new things. Your lessons can range from the basics all the way up through learning the butterfly to improve your cardiovascular fitness.
We teach adult lessons in 30 minute classes, swimming 4 days a week for 2 weeks, when the pool is quiet. We want our adults to have fun in swimming class too, and one of the best ways to do that is to play some of the teaching games and activities we do in our other classes. Come have fun as you learn to swim.
Water Exercise Program
Several water exercise classes ranging from Beginner to Advanced levels are offered to your community. These classes may be scheduled in the morning, the afternoon, or the evening. The classes are one hour in length and taught by trained Water Exercise Instructors.
The classes will help you meet your personal fitness goals in such areas as weight loss, muscle toning, increased flexibility, coordination and cardiovascular. The classes are fun, entertaining and gives you an opportunity to meet your neighbors.
There is a minimum of eight (8) people required for theses classes.
If Water Exercise has been requested by your community, it will be listed in the online registration choices. If you do not see it, contact your community association and have them request a class be set up. If the minimum number of participants signs up, we'd love to come and exercise with you!
